- 1 Small yellow onion, peeled, cut in quarters
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 can (250g) whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- Place olive oil, onion and salt in the blender pitcher.
- Select SAUTE.
- Add remaining ingredients, then select SMOOTH SOUP.
